Rohan's picture making career started with learning the trade at Capital Television in the early 1980's. After 11 years at Capital, he moved on to operate as a freelance cameraman before setting up as Rotating Head Productions. This company has worked across Australia and overseas, including the U.K., Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia and New Zealand.
Our major focus is to provide quality lighting/camera work for the most exacting client. Our team is friendly and versatile, making sure that your projects shine.
We work across many different video genres and our client base is wide and varied, ranging from
Whether shooting on location or in the studio, we will create the feel that conveys your message in the best possible light.
Projects range from national release commercials to international news and documentaries, lifestyle programs, streaming events, multi camera OBs, music videos, short films as well as corporate messages and training films.
Working with such varied clients and projects means that as well as working with our own collection of camera equipment, we have had access to all of the latest (and some extremely old but unique looking) gear.
There is no one camera that is perfect for every job so we carry a range of different style cameras and lenses in our shooting inventory - from full frame Ultra HD (4K) production cameras to smaller DSLR/mirrorless, GoPro action cams, and the larger broadcast ENG style units. We also have a selection of grip and support gear including gimbals, dollies, sliders and mini-jibs.
Other equipment includes lenses from ultrawide to macro to super-telephoto, a large selection of lighting, recorders, wireless video transmitter, teleprompter, radio mics, monitors, follow focus, video switchers (backpack and portable fly away rack units) and live streaming.
Don't worry if you don't know what gear you want or need for your shoot, have a chat to us about your job specifics and we'll make sure the right gear for you and your job is in the van on the day. For those of you that are equipment obsessed (like us) head on over to our Gear page to see what we like playing with at the moment.
